Why some of us recognize each other in this world - Alastu Bi Rabbikum

Why some of us recognize each other in this world - Alastu Bi Rabbikum

Mawlana Rumi's qaddas Allahu sirru Poems are a Spiritual Map for lovers lost in Dunya, they are yearning the day of "Alastu Bi-Rabbikum - Am I not your Lord" (7:172).

The Moment All Souls were spoken to by Allah in Pre-Eternity, when Allah addressed all the sons of Adam, in the form of Souls, this Primordial Covenant is called by the Sufis 'The Day of Alast'.

The Souls were give permission to roam around and even came on earth, in the form of Souls then, thus why some experience "Deja vu- already seen." Because it has, in the form of Souls, its trying to re-connect to its Source.

Spiritual Residue-(small amount of something that remains) or in French (Déjà vu literally  'already seen'), is the strong sensation that an event or experience currently being experienced has already been experienced in the past.

We have flash backs or remnants of (Yawm al-arwah - the day of Souls) that is when the Souls in per-existence roamed the earth, before going back to jannah.

We get momentarily unveilings for the soul when it connects itself to the point.

A (Burst of Energy from the Divine) a reminder of 'Yawm alastu bi-rabbikum' the Day of Promises happens.

For some people the connection is longer or stronger, but the Waliya-saints live in that station for the are alive and connected.

The day of Promises the 1st Shadahah witnessing and Bay'ah

Allah took the Souls of all Mankind out of the Loins of Sayyiduna Adam and said; Alastu bi Rabbikum Am I not your Lord?" They answered, "Yes, we bear witness" Qur'an 7:172.

These words were spoken in Pre-Eternity when Allah addressed the 'non-existent' sons of Adam. This Primordial Covenant is called by the Sufis 'The Day of Alast'.

It’s also called Yawm al-Mithaq or 'Ahd-The Covenant refers to that 'Event' or 'Day'.

"Alastu bi Rabbikum - Am I not your Lord" also called the Day of Promises;

The day of “Am I not your Lord?” (Alastu bi Rabbikum) is the day when all of the children of our father Adam were made to acknowledge the oneness of their Lord and Creator. Alastu bi Rabbikum Is the day when All  Souls were bought out of Sayyiduna Adam's Loins, we all stand in Saffs-line and took Shahadah in front of Allah in the forms of Souls, some replied very swiftly, then fast, others slower, others with hesitation, others  others reluctantly...

This is the day mentioned in the words of Allah Most High, “When your Lord bought you forth from the Children of Adam – from their loins – their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): “Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?”- They said: “Yea! We do testify!” (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: “Of this we were never mindful”” [7:172]

Why some of us recognize each other in this world

This day of the Covenant is called, by the Sufis, the Day of Alast. It has been said that those spirits who were in close proximity on this day will recognize each other when they meet in this realm.

When you meet someone for the first time and you feel like you have known them forever, or since 'before the before', this is the recognition of the spirits from that Day or The Day of Alast.

Real Sufi Masters when they awaken in this world, remember-(Dhikr) that moment and then find others and shake them to remember-(Dhikr) what they forget-(Nisya).

Because the word remember-(Dhikr) can only mean something you already Knew, or were taught before!

(Man was named Insan) because we was given a covenant but he (Nasiya - forget it).

The root word for (Insan) are two;

(Nisya), which literally means (to forget) and the other (Nusiya), which means (to be loved) and (to relate).

One of the Best replies to Alastu Bi Rabbikum – Am I Not Your Lord?
From Malfuzat of Khwajah Uthman Haruni qaddas Alllahu sirru, as recorded by Khwajah Moinuddin Chishti qaddas Alllahu sirru

Then the Khwajah (master), may God have mercy on him, said “I saw written in the Umdat us-Suluk  of Junaid Baghdadi, may God have mercy on him, as related by Khwajah Yusuf Chishti qaddas Alllahu sirru, may God have mercy on him, that when Allah, Exalted is He, said “Alastu Bi Rabbikum (Am I Not Your Lord)”, all the spirits, believer and non-believer, were immediately divided into 4 categories:

1. Those spirits that on hearing their Lord’s call fell into sajdah (prostration) replying with heart and limb, “Balaa (Indeed)!”
2. Those that made sajdah but didn’t do so with any sincerity.
3. Those that believed sincerely with their hearts only.
4. Those that didn’t care to reply–neither with heart nor limb.

The khwajah, may God have mercy on him, then clarified each category.
1st Group: The spirits that replied Balaa (Indeed You are our Lord and Sustainer!) with heart and limb (in prostration),  became Prophets (upon them all be peace), Saints, and sincere believers.

2nd Group: The second category that said balaa but without any sincerity are those Muslims who forsake their religion on their death-beds.

3rd  Group: The third category that said nothing but sincerely meant it are those who were disbelievers but later turned to Islam.

4th Group: The last category who didn’t say anything nor have any sincerity to accept the call are those who live and die as disbelievers.

After articulating all of this, the master became engrossed in his dhikr (remembrance of God) and the one in need of his prayers returned to where he came from–all praises to God for that (lesson).

Taken from Session 1 (Faith) of the Anees ul-Arwah–The Malfuzat of Khwajah Uthman Haruni qaddas Alllahu sirru, as recorded by Khwajah Moinuddin Chishti qaddas Alllahu sirru.

Sufis about (Love-Hub) from the Book of Love. Shaykh Umar bin Uthman Makki qaddas Alllahu sirru in his book Kitab-ul-Muhabbat (Book of Love),

“God created the hearts seven thousand years before creating the bodies, and kept them in a state of nearness.

He created the souls seven thousand years before creating the hearts, and kept them in the station of intimacy-(Uns).

He created the secrets-(Sirr) seven thousand years before creating the souls, and kept them in the station of unity-(wasl).

Then He revealed the lustre of His Beauty to the secrets-(Sirr) three hundred and sixty times everyday and looked towards it graciously for three hundred and sixty times everyday.

and He caused the spirit to hear the true word of love and manifested three hundred and sixty times everyday favours of intimacy to the soul.

But when they surveyed the entire universe and saw nothing more precious than themselves, vanity and arrogance overtook them.

God, therefore, subjected them to tests and trials by imprisoning the heart in the spirit, the spirit in the soul, and the soul in the body.

He then bestowed reason upon them and sent prophets to guide them.

Thereafter, everyone was told to seek the Beloved.

Consequently, the body was engaged in prayer,

the soul in love,

the spirit in nearness,

and the heart found happiness in union with Him."

Ode - Souls belong to this body by Sajad

This soul doesn't belong to this body,
It's just here.
The drink (tasting) I have,
Isn't from the cup-(dunya) you live in,
It's of Alastu bi Rabbikum.

Ode - come to this world drunk by Sajad

I come to this world drunk,
Being pinched by Shaytan,
Taken from Yawmal 'ahd (Day of Promises)
Bought to Yawmal Wa'eed (Promised Day)
But a few are burning alight,
In the moment of that illustrious,
Yawm alastu bi-rabbikum (Day of am I not your Lord)

Ode - Chasing lust or desire or real Love - Sajad

Businessmen chase money for lust or desire,
Lovers chase women for lust or desire,
Alims chase 'ilm-knowledge for lust or desire,
The saints chase Allah beyond  lust or desire,
Know money, women, knowledge can be lustful,
They chase for Allahs "Uns-Intimate Love",
And "Qurb-Nearness" and "Hadra-Presence",
So much that hell screams at their Faqr-burning Love,
And if you dare gaze into a true saints Oceanic Eyes,
You too, can taste and feel this ishq-Love.
