Dua Murajab-(effective). When is the Best Times and Manners of making Dua Supplication for effective results.

The whole of Ramadhan is holy, and especially an hour of Sehri and Iftar. So try to make Dhikr at least  30 mins to an hour before Iftar. rather then just cooking.

The Last Third Of The Night, Last day time hour of Jum'ah before maghrib, on Wednesdays Between Dhuhr and ‘Asr proven and tested,The time at Duha the gates of Jannah are open.

Dua and Dhikr everyday at Fajr and 'Asr are called  Best Hours of the Day because Angels come in succession at Fajr and Asr, recitation of the Quran is witnessed at Fajr and 'Asr, deeds are taken by angels to Allah at those times, and its mentioned in many places of doing dhikr at Fajr and 'Asr, By takes an Oath at both times Wal-Fajr, Wal 'Asr and Allah will been seen in Jannah after Asr and Fajr.

Make dua While Drinking Zamzam Water, At Arafat,  Dua after stoning the Jamarat at Hajj, Du'a on the mount of Safa or Marwah during Umrah or Hajj and Dua at any of the holy sites  like  where the Saints of Allah are buried.

While Prostrating, When Waking Up at Night, After the any of  Fardh Salah, Night of 'Qadr', During The Rain  - 'Two will not be rejected, Supplication when the Adhan (call of prayer) is being called, and at the time of the rain'. 

At the Adhan, Between Adhan and Iqamah, dua after Salawat and Hamd-When anyone of you makes du'a, let him start by glorifying his Lord and praising Him, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon), then let him pray for whatever he wants'.

There there Duas of; (1) Place and (2) Specific Times  and (3) People and Duas of Saints and Duas made by a traveller, the Sick persons dua is like an Angel also When a Muslim visits his sick Muslim brother in the morning, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the evening. 

And when he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels make dua for his forgiveness till the morning, and he will be granted a garden for it in Jannah.

Dua the father or mother is like a saints dua, Duas made by a brother in his absence and the angels say amin and may you have  more meaning Angels are asking for khayr and ziyada increase for you. (Tried and tested)  these examples of a people.

Dua of the one fasting until he breaks his fast, whole  month of Ramadhan, Dua of a son or daughter obedient to his or her parents, Dua immediately after wudhu, At the Crowing of a Rooster because the Rooster sees Angels. 

Again to mention dua after Fardh Salah, While reciting Surah al-Fatiha, Ameen is part of Dua so say it aloud like Sayyiduna Harun did when Sayyiduna Musa was making Dua.

There are five nights on which du'a is not rejected: the first night of Rajab, the fifteenth night of Sha'ban,nights of Jum'ah, the night before 'Eid al-Fitr and the night before 'Eid al-Nahr (al-Adha).  

Personal notes favourite manner of dua: I have like to make dua on Wednesdays Between Dhuhr and ‘Asr its proven and tested and in hadith its also singled out,my favourite time is praying Duha salah as gates of Jannah are open and making dua. Every Night of Jum'ah or Thursday night as its one of  five nights on which du'a is not rejected and in certain aspects the rank of the night of jum'ah is even higher than Laylatul Qadr. 

Now while making dua;

*the dua after salawat and (Tahmeed saying Alhamdulillah)

As for hamd in Imam Ghazali mentions he who says (Al-hamdulillah 3 times) and makes a dua, his dua is presented at the court of Allah and then recite any salawat, for it to not to be rejected! 

Also 27 times istighfar dua for the believers any dua after is not rejected, thus read; Allahum-maghfir lil-muslimeena wal-muslimat, wal-mu’mineena wal mu’minat, al-ahyaa'i minhum wal-amwat (27 times).

meaning: O Allah, forgive the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women, the alive from them and the dead. (see note below). 

Also you can add 1000 Surah ikhlas as on 'Arafat this is what you and make dua and its not rejected.

and then go into As for my favourite (duas made in Sajda which I prefer) tried and tested.These are Murajab Effective and inshallah not rejected.

Send all the rewards to  the Prophet peace be upon and all the Saints;

and in another “The one who seeks forgiveness for [Mu'min] males and females from Allah Ta’ala (26 or 25 times and in another Narrations 27 times).

I times every day, Allah Ta’ala will count that person among those whose Du’a is accepted, and through the barakah of whom those on earth gain rizq (sustenance).”- Hadith

How do to apply the above simple read dua 27 times or more as mentioned in 2nd hadith (and then as first hadith says for every soul you ask Forgiveness and there are over 1.5 billion Muslims you are rewarded and then after a dua for yourself and thus your duas will be surely answered insh'allah, also the best time for dua is in the early hours before fajr its more powerful accepted too.
