Mid Shaban Dua - Allahumma Ya Dhal Manni.
Supplication on the Night of 15th Sha'ban
O Allah! You shower favours on everyone
And no one can do You any favour.
O The Possessor of Majesty and Honour,
O The Distributor of bounty and rewards,
There is no one worthy of worship except You.
You help the fallen And provide refuge to the refugees
And give peace to those who are in fear.
O Allah! If in the Mother of All Books that is with You
You have written me down as someone who is
Doubtful of achieving salvation, or deprived,
Or rejected or without enough sustenance,
Then, O Allah, with Your Grace
Remove all of these misfortunes from me
and in the Mother of All Books that is with You,
establish me as someone who is blessed,
with abundant provision and charitable good deeds.
Indeed, what You said in The Book You sent
Through the tongue of Your Blessed Prophet is true
That Allah changes and establishes what He wants
And with Him is the Mother of All Books.
O My Lord! For the sake of Your Divine Manifestation
On this fifteenth night of the blessed month of Sha'ban
In which You issue all Wise and Irrevocable Decrees
Remove from us all calamities and hardships,
those that we know about as well as those that we don't,
while You know everything.
Truly, You are the Most Powerful, Most Generous.
And may Allah the Exalted shower blessings
and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad,
and on his family and his companions
And all praise is for Allah, Lord of the worlds.
Mid Shaban Dua - Allahumma Ya Dhal Manni.
The whole Night from Maghrib to Fajr has Maghfira-forgiveness and Rahma-Mercy, Allah arranges the affairs of His servants; arranges the affairs of the year. He transfers [some of] the living to the list of dead, and records those who will make pilgrimage [Hajj] to the House of Allah that year, neither adding one too many nor leaving a single one of them out.
The 15th Night of Sha‘bān:
On the relation of ‘Atā’ ibn Yasār, may Allah be well pleased with him, who said, “On the 15th night of Sha‘bān the Angel of Death, peace be upon him, copies down the names of all those who will die from that Sha‘bān to the next Sha‘bān…and there is no night after Laylat Al-Qadr better than the 15th night of Sha‘bān.”
Other hadiths also describe the 15th night as being the night in which Allah decrees everyone’s provisions, even after-worldly provisions (Paradise, Hell), therefore it is important to bring that night to life through Prayer, reading Qur’an, and repentance.
Related by Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be well pleased with him and his father, that the Prophet, peace and mercy of Allah be upon him, said, “There are five nights on which du‘ā’ is not turned back: Friday eve, on the eve of Rajab, the 15th night of Sha‘bān, Laylat Al-Qadr, and on the eve of the two ‘Eids.”
It is also recommended to say the du‘ā’:
اللّهُمَ إنَّكَ عفوٌ كريمٌ تُحِبَّ العَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَني، اللّهُمَّ إنّي أسْألُكَ العَفْوَ والعَافية والمُعَافَاةَ الدَّائِمة في الدِّين والدُّنيا والأخِرَة
Allahumma innaka ‘Afūwun Karīmun tuḥib ul ‘afwa fa‘afu ‘annī, Allahumma innī as’aluka al-‘afū, wa al-‘āfīyah wa al-mu‘āfāt ad-da’imah fī ad-dīni wa ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirah.
O Allah, You are Pardoning and Generous and You love to pardon, so pardon me. O Allah, I ask You for pardoning, good health [in body], and to be [spiritually] health always in my religion, and in this life, and in the hereafter.
Clarification: “Giving life to the night” is said to be staying up most of the night in worship, although other scholars have said just one hour. Others have said just be determined to pray ‘Ishā in congregation and Fajr in congregation and that will fulfill “giving life to the night.”
Arabic transcript of the section on the month of Sha’ban from the well-acclaimed book Kanz an-Najah was-Surur as well as an English translation by Amjad Tarsin.
Warning for Some people Mid Sha'ban has NO Blessings!
The hadith of Mu'adh b. Jabal that relates the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) saying: 'God looks at His creation during the middle night of Sha'ban and forgives all of them, except an idolator and one who harbours rancour-(Ghil).
The hadith of 'Abd Allāh b.'Amr where the Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) said: 'God, majestic is He, looks at His creation on the middle night of Sha'ban and forgives all of His slaves, save an idolater and a murderer.
15th Sha'ban Night 300 Gates of Mercy are Opened, it Rains Forgiveness, Du'as are not turned back, and Destiny can even change.
"On the 15th night of Sha'ban the Angel of Death, peace be upon him, copies down the names of all those who will die from that Sha'ban to the next Sha'ban…and there is no night after Laylat Al-Qadr better than the 15th night of Sha‘ban.”
Salawat: Salutations Upon the Prophet (peace be upon him): Sha‘ban is the month of the Prophet peace and mercy of Allah be upon him, for he said, “Sha‘ban is my month.” What does mean?
Sha'ban is the Month Allah sent down the verse;
Inn Allaha Wa Malaikatahu YuSalluna Alan-Nabi Ya Ayyuhal Ladheena Amanu Sallu Alaihi Wa Sallimu Taslima.
"Allah and His Angels send their blessings upon the Prophet, O you who believe send blessings upon him and salutations of peace (33:56)" and Made Salawat a Fardh:
That is why, Sayyidina Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said "Sha'baan is my month"
That's why its a Month of Salawat, more then anything else.
It's also the Month Sayyidina Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, split the Moon in Half.
Scholars have said, “Rajab is the month of Repentance, Sha'ban is the month of sending salutations upon the Prophet, peace and mercy of Allah be upon him, and Ramadhan is the month of the Qur’an.”
Reading Ayat Hirz (see below) 500 times either on;
15th Night of Shaban on 15th Day of Shaban.
Doing this Allah will save him from the Questioning of the two Angels in Grave. And he will enjoy bliss in his Grave as they will be turned towards his place in Jannah in the Grave. - Sidi Ahmad Tijani (qaddas Allahu sirru).
These two Ayats below bare very Powerful and are called Ayatul Hirz;
Laqad jaa'akum rasulum-min anfusikum 'azeezun 'alayhi ma 'anittum hareesun 'alaykum bil-mu'mi-neena ra'uw-fur-raheem.
Fa-in ta-wal-law faqul-hasbiya-allahu laailaha illa-hu 'alayhi tawakkaltu wahuwa rabbul-'arshil-'adheem (9:128-129)
Meaning: "Indeed there has already come to you a Messenger among yourselves, Mighty (grievous) to him is your sufferings; most eager is he for your (welfare), to the believers (he is) constantly compassionate, constantly merciful" (9:128)
Still, if they turn away from you (O Messenger), say: "God is sufficient for me; there is no deity but He. In Him have I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Supreme Throne (as the absolute Ruler and Sustainer of the universe and all creation, Who maintains and protects it)." (9:129)
Note: For those wanting to pray the 6 Nafil after Maghrib, but have missed Fardh Salah or Women on their Periods and cannot Pray.
Those with Qadha (missed Fardh Salah) are wasting their time, on the Tonight of 15th Shaban praying Nafil. As Fardh has more Haqq on them. They should spend the Time doing there Qadha (missed Fardh Salah) and is the same for them in Ramadhan. They should be Praying their Qadha (missed Fardh Salah) and not Taraweeh, on such nights too.
That doesn't mean one cannot still do the 6 Nafil, but should make Niyyah 2 Rakah for Missed Salah-(Qadh or Qaza in urdu) for they should then continue the night praying Qadha (missed Fardh Salah) as it's Haqq they MUST pay to Allah.
So those with missed Pray should make this Niyyah; I'm making Niyyah (Niyyat) to Pray 2 Rakah Qadha or Qaza Salah on this holy night of Nisf Shab'an or Shab-Raat in urdu).
Sisters on their periods, cannot pray. They can sit on the Pray mat, and read the following and repeat it 3 times;
1st make niyyah-intention for (long pious life) and then the following;
1 - 100 Salawat any short Salawat, such as the Asr Friday Salawat.
2 - 100 Surah Al-fatiha.
3 - 100 subhanallah walhamdulillah wala ilaha illallah wallahu akbar wala hawla wala quwwata illa billahil Aliyyil Adheem.
4 - 1000 Astaghfirullah Ya Kareem
5 - 1000 Ya Hannan Ya Mannan
6 - Dua Nisf Shaban once and Close with salawat once.
4 - 1000 Astaghfirullah Ya Kareem
5 - 1000 Ya Hannan Ya Mannan
6 - Dua Nisf Shaban once and Close with salawat once.
Repeat each of 6 points above, with each Niyyah. So example you are reading 1000 Ya Hannan Ya Mannan in total of 3000 times, as it done 3 times with each of the 3 different Niiyah.
1st make niyyah-intention for (long pious life)
2nd niyyah-intention is for (being safe from the calamities and misfortunes)
3rd niyyah-intention is (for the increment of Rizq subsistence)
Rizq is many things; marriage, blessing of children, education increase in wealth or a job)
No Sufi Shaykh or anyone one else can forgive this. If you die with Qadha (missed Fardh Salah) on your Soul, others (with wisdom) can given Sadaqah for your soul as (kaffarah penalty compensation) for the missed Salah.
