The (Ism Name), (Ya Lateef O Gentle), is used heavily in the Shadhili Tariqah for being the (Sifaat Attribute) of Allah to be saved from all kinds of Troubles and Tribulations or save yourself from major catastrophe or Sicknesses like Cancer or other such perils and concerns and even Spiritually Openings and Duas.
Spelt Ya Lateef or Ya Latif.

From its meanings and understanding Lateef:
(Ya Lateef O Gentle); Meaning is the Ever-Discreetly Gentle, most affectionate, the knower of all sublities, The Subtle One, The Gracious, The One who is kind to His slaves and endows upon them, Most affectionate or knower of innermost secrets.
He is the most Delicate, Fine, Gentle, beautiful one. He is the one who knows the finest details of beauty. The finest of His beauties are hidden in the secrets of the beauties of the soul, wisdom, and divine light.
He is the One Who is so Discreet in His Actions that He discerns the hidden and secret, and what the hearts are filled with.
He also perceives what is in the lands, of enclosed grains and seeds. He is Ever-Gentle with His devoted slaves and makes things easy for them and keeps them away from difficulties.
He makes the path to His Pleasure and Generosity easy for them. He protects them from every and means that may lead to His anger. This is through means that they may perceive as well as means that they do not perceive.
He also decrees matters for them that they dislike in order for them to be granted what they love.
He is Gentle with them with respect to their own souls as He guides them to His beautiful ways and His noble creations. He is Gentle with them with respect to matters that are external to them with every goodness and righteousness. The name Al-Lateef is close in its meaning to Al-Khabeer (the Well-Acquainted with all things), Al-Ra`uf (the Clement) and Al-Kareem (the Generous).
Subtle or Gentle: (1) So slight as to be difficult to detect or analyse,
(2) operating in a hidden way [American Heritage Dictionary, 3rd Edition].
Lateef: in the Arabic language:
(1) the One who gives us our wants in a subtle way,
(2) the One who does not wrong his servants even a little bit,
(3) the One who shows grace to His creation by giving them their needs with gentleness and subtlety,
(4) the One who knows the hidden delicacies of affairs [Fayruzabadi, The Encompassing Dictionary].
The meaning of (Lutf) is Allah bringing benefit and deflecting harm from an individual in a manner that that individual is unaware of, it happening.

'ilm Abjad or Science of numerology
Ya Lateef from 'ilm Abjad or Science of numerology, has the value of 129.
From the 11 Naqshbandi Principles, Shah Naqshband qaddas Allahu sirru added the last 3 Principles.
The 10th Principle is Wuquf 'Adadi or 'Awareness of Numbers' for they have meaning or codes.
Abjad-(Numerology) is the science that gives numbers Value.
The observation of the number of individual repetitions of the dhikr. Shaykh Jami qaddas Allahu sirru said:"Wuquf-i-adadi is the observation of the number of dhikrs and of whether this [observation] yields results or not."
It also means as, Shah Bahuad-din Naqshband qaddas Allahu sirru said, "The observation of the number of repetitions of the dhikr of the heart is for gathering thoughts or mental activity which are scattered."

from Shaykh Nazim Haqqani qaddas Allahu sirru
In a Ruhani message given in August 2017; Shaykh Nazim Haqqani qaddas Allahu sirru has said to read 133/313 times (Ya Lateef) every Morning and evening it has 36 benefits.
Also some other Naseeha from Shaykh Nazim Haqqani qaddas Allahu sirru was this posted about Rizq below;
1. 7 x Ayatul Kursi - morning & evening.
2. 1 x Surah Waqia - daily.
3. After each Namaz (without speaking to anyone - sitting & not getting up) read 129x times "Ya Lateef"
4. After reciting (3) read 7 times; Bismillah Irahma Nirraheem "Allahu Latiful Bil ibadihi Yarzuku May'yashaahu Wa Huwal Qawwiyul Aziz"

Its from that Whoever reads "Ya Lateef" daily, Allah will grant abundance in his Rizq (sustenance) and cause all his tasks to be accomplished without difficulties. This is due to known Ayatul Rizq.
Ayatul Rizq to open abundance Rizq, recite this verse at Fajr 7 times:
Allahu Lateefun bi 'ibadihi, yarzuqu man yasha'u, wa huwal'-Qawiyyul-'Aziz. (42:19)
Allah is gentle with His servants. he provides for whom He wills, and he is the Strong the Mighty. (42:19)

Ya Lateef is Breaking a stubborn Heart like a rock with Gentleness of Love, Ya Lateef... O Gentle
Ya Lateefu - look with gentleness this soft delicate branch pushes through is planted in this hard concrete and breaks it the same is true with dhikr of Ya Lateefu it breaks stubborn hard hearts until the love of Allah is planted. This is the meaning of Ya lateefu-"O Gentleness"
Everything in this world of dirt, grease, oil, steel is only cleaned with heat, it's always heat the same is true with the next world. That only heat can cleanse and clean, but the Love of Allah is such it will burn away all Sins, that is the power of Tawba and the the Holy name Al-Lateefu-Oh Gentle. Places the energy light being Gentle on one's Soul, and cleans it completely by the Luft-(Gentleness) of Allah, Ya Lateef Ya Lateef Ya Lateef Ameen.
This is a famous Soft Controlled Jamali (beautiful) name that softens Hearts, heals hearts and breaks stubborn hearts and melts hearts.
The best way to explain this is: Imagine a waterfall hitting a rough stone soon it's smooth or if you see the beach the stones are all soft and smooth as they have been washed Gently-(Luft) with the waves from jaggedness to gentleness.
Ya Latif has the same gentle impact feeling making hard Hearts into smooth and soft Hearts that can feel, that is Ya Latif or the effects on the Heart.

Ya Lateef Aghithni wamdudni min Jaddil Bala'i wal Wabaa'i Bi-Haqqi Sallallahu 'ala Sayyidina Muhammad bi Haqqi Nasrum-minallahi wa fat'hun Qareeb wa bash-shiril mu'mineen.
Meanin: O Gentle Help me, and Aid me from Sudden Calamities and Epidemics, for the sake of our Master Muhammad peace be upon him and for the sake of Help from Allah and victory is near and give good tidings to the believers.
Ya Rabbi please gaze at me in my moment of affliction with Your gaze of Luft (Ya Lateef oh Gentle)!
"Nothing will afflict us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our protector": and on Allah let the Believers put their trust. Quran 9:51

Using Ya Lateef to tame down a aggressive Husband/Wife
Question from Mureeda, Ustadh Sajad, what to read if one has a husband that beats her or similar situation of aggressive person?
The person is someone she knows, thus i give ijaza for its reading to her, as she isn't a Mureeda
Me reply: Tell her to read Ya Lateef 4'444 or 16'1641 times a day and Must make niyyah, that she wants him to be tamed and blow towards him. Ya Ya Lateef means to be Kind and Gentle.
So you want the energy of Luft of Gentleness to go onto or transfer on them or a nasty person that you live with. This needs to be do 21 days and see if there is any change of attitude.
There are other Names that can be used or other methods after, but first this, and then anther is tried too after, if needed.

This Salawat Ya Lateef above, can be recited for people having a hard time to be treated with kindness.
"Al-Lateef. (Gentle, Subtle, Kind) The One who saves you in the Subtlest of ways such that you don't even realise, that you were in danger."
If your enemy is stronger than you and if a fight becomes Imminent with him then recite this Du’aa 111 times after every Salah recite this below;

How to Change Ones Destiny with 90'000 Ya Lateef - this as caution to it, too.
This story is from Shamsul Maarif of Shaykh Ismael Buni Qaddas Allahu sirru, about the ism (Ya Lateef) and about Changing Qadr Destiny)
A normal person met a Saint of Allah. When the saint looked upon his forehead he saw that this individual will die a violent death at the hand of the king of that place.
Taking pity on this individual the saint told him to read Ya Lateef 90'000 times non stop.
The person did as told and saw a vivid dream where he was dragged and executed by the king and his men.
Upon waking from his very real dream he went to see the saint in a state of perplexity and sweating profusely.
The saint looked at his forehead again and saw that his death had been changed.
The saint thanked allah for this blessing upon this individual.
The man continued reciting Ya Lateef and became a saint himself.

Sajad notes: Basically Qadr of him being killed still happened, but it manifested and moved from the Realm Dunya to the Realm of Dreams where the feeling and emotions can still be felt.
Awliya can do that, or they can teach a Wird that it manifest but in another Realm. This is called convert Energy from One into another Realm but without stopping (Qadr Destiny).
Qadr is Qadr that cannot be changed, but making it Manifest in another Realm is the Secret of Saintly folk that give you Wird to recite.
Even from the Realm of Dreams, that can move into the Realm of Dunya in reality. I've this in a Hadith
Basically it says don't give a bad interpretation of a dream, for then you bring into from the Realms of Dreams or Ghayb into the Realms of Dunya.
That is found in the beginning of the book "Higher Reality - Manifestations of the Unseen" by Sidi Mostafa al-Badawi.
I've read a similar story of man that does Zina 70 plus times it was written in his (Qadr Destiny). He went to Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani Qaddas Allahu sirru who say it written for him. So the Shaykh made a Dua and his still happened or Manifestwe but in the Realm of Dreams. Thus is soul was saved.
The Ism Ya Lateef; The One (Allah) Who Saves you in with Gentleness or subtlety ways, such that you don't event realise, you were in Danger.
Which Inshallah bi idhnillah seem too hopeful change or open ones Qadr Destiny for Khayr.

Ya Lateef 16k or 70k to 90k is for Senior advanced people.
It's not every Tom Dawud and Harry, one 1st need to establish themselves and do basic Dhikr and Salah and then move on intermediate Dhikr and only then can they even attempt such a Large Dhikr.
they can read 5000 Salawat Ya Wahhaab for anything else. If you haven't given Ruhani Bayah to join me then do so. If you have a Shaykh go get their Ijaza to read it, mostly they will say No!
Don't do the 90'000 Ya Lateef without my ijaza. It can also be dangerous!
if people can't focus their Thoughts, this 90K will cause problems.
Know that Burning the Nafs with Gentleness of Ya Lateef 4'444 times a day Opens Rizq and 16'641 times a day answers Duas and saves one from Hellfire and ease Difficulties or and 70'000 a day has usages for the Soul to open and 90'000 times a day helps Change Danger of Destiny, each level requires guidance and Waseelah Connection to Shaykh Abdal Qadir Jilani qaddas Allahu Sirru.
